Village Taxes

TAX INFORMATION

Current Millage Rate:  9.81100

2010 Village Taxes are payable July 1st through September 14th, 2010 without penalty and interest.
As of September 15th, 2009 a 1% interest penalty per month will be assesed.

As of March 3, 2011, all real property taxes will be sent on the Lapeer County and are then payable at the County Treasurer's Office.  Personal Property Taxes are still paid at the Village offices.

You may also place your payment by check or money order 
(NO CASH PLEASE) in the drop box outside the Village Office front doors.

Board of Review Monday, March 8, 2010
If you have an error on your tax bill or assessment notice please contact the Village Office immediately. 
Once the Village assessment roll is completed in March and the tax statements are mailed in June changes can only be made by the Board of Review. 
The Board of Review is only required by law to meet twice a year to make corrections.  These corrections include clerical errors, mistakes and receiving a Homestead Exemption. 

The Board of Review meets in July and December.
